Description

Just a gentle bow and deep hug for Craig (faroutsider) for the loss of his beloved mother. In his always loving manner, he said a whole world in a few delicate words, about her love, her glow, and her precious beauty. Deepest condolences, Craig, may your journey bring you from loss into great light and love, she sounded so much like you... (a long panorama of Lake Michigan at dawn...)

What a beautiful glimpse into the far beyond; colour and light and beauty at its source. All my sincerest condolences to Craig on his loss...there isn't anything any other person can say at a time like this, all we can do is send love and light, and you've done this perfectly Mark.

This is a gorgeous image and a perfect memorial dedication. The image in and of itself is superbly seen and captured and the intensity of the light is really captivating; it forms a nice pattern. The colors definitely "read" as sunrise to me, and that's so fitting for a memorial dedication; OK, the ancient Egyptians set a precedent with the "Western Lands" and memorial imagery featuring...well...western-set imagery, but after 3000+ years, that gets kind of old. The image itself is beautifully done. I love the gentle, almost pastel colors dominating the right and the cooler (kind of cornflower blue) shades and shadows to the right. There's such a nice balance here, and I love the crop: it opens up such a vista (and a promise) as the light breaking through the clouds implies as much as it shows. This is a brilliant image and a very moving dedication/memorial/gesture. Excellent, loving and gleaming, light-filled work.

I don't know where to start commenting on this foto. It has so many incredbile parts to it. The sunset and reflections of course are the most obvious, but that lake looks like glass. Seems like you could almost walk on it. And THEN---the sea (ooops, lake) wall and the pilings add yet another dimension. All in all, a spectacular shot and a wonderful dedi for Craig.

Mark, this is a fantastic photo and a very warm dedication for your friend who has recently lost his mother. Everything about this capture is inspirational, from the point of view to the colorful skies. I'm sure your friend Craig will be grateful for this thoughtful dedication. I'll be sure and keep him and his family in my prayers during this time.

What gorgeous scenery this is. So peaceful. Love the deep contrast against the lovely pastel sky, that is reflecting in the tranquil lake. The light is so uplifting and comsoling. A really wonderful shot with your special postwork. Love it and i am sure, Craig will too.
