Description
Created for the monthly Carrara render challenge over at DAZ3D.
The journal, fountain pen, magnifying glass and pyramids were all modeled and UV mapped by me in Carrara. I then took several quick Carrara renders into Photoshop and modified them to look like drawings/watercolors and a photo, which were then used as textures for the journal and photo in the final render.

Really well done! (aging of the photo is exceptional) Curious about an inkwell for some other glass effects??? Great Concept and Realization.

Thank you! I really wanted to extend the image a bit to the right and add an inkwell and a pad of paper with some notes but since I was making this for a contest in the DAZ forums and their max image size is 2000x2000 I ran out of space. :) I may add to it in the future and just post it here since I wanted to render a little larger anyway because at this size you can't see the engraving on the pen tip or the design on the pen metal (it's just in a band near the end).

Superb render, especially the aged photo and the aged paper! A bit more precious looking wood for the table would have been more suitable though!
