Description
Captured back on 5/29/09, during my first visit to the beautiful Huntington Botanical Center and Conservatory in beautiful San Marino, California.
To be more specific, this is just one section of the beautifully maintained Japanese site at the Botanical Center.

I remember that the Huntington Gardens are massive; probably too much to see all in one visit, unless you're really fit. This part is just lovely, and that arch of a bridge is gorgeous! Although probably harder to climb up and over than one might expect...Really nice shot, Harry, it is as green as green can be!

Exquisitely designed and maintained gardens - a beautiful place and lovely image, Harry.

Re Denise's comment on the bridge, "probably harder to climb up and over than one might expect"---I'd never make it over that bridge! It's way too curved and steep for me...The shot's pov captures a packed hilly landscape, almost a fairy tale landscape, with rolly polly hills and all kinds of soft rounded greenery, and trees, flowers, etc. And it IS verdant, and yellow, and very bright. The people in the shot seem idyllic and they add a great deal to it, giving it scale and the human element. Your pov allows us to 'ascend' the pic, as we move back (up that slope). Very effective. A real eye-opening shot, Harry. Genuine eye-candy.
