Captured back on 3/23/08, at a now defunct nature center in a local park. The freeway widening project caused its departure from the scene.
Bottom shot done in oils.

Such a lovely goose. Assume it is either dead or eaten by now... I do like what you did with it in the lower Image. Very beautiful :-)

What a beautiful bird! Sad they had to close/relocate, I hope no wildlife was harmed in the process. Lovely capture, and I like the oil version very much!

Helle's a painter, so if she liked what you did with your postwork, you did well. I like it just as much---it's not just painterly, it's like inner energies being photographed with a very sensitive camera. The bird comes alive in a way that no straight shot could capture. The top shot shows a very plump and sensual bird. And your angled overhead pov mekes it a portrait. (I'm amazed it didn't move with you standing over it like that---in Chicago, geese give you the finger and stomp off, if you hover over them.) Strong portrait, and a very energized sensual oil treatment. (And I rarely see light-hued geese around here...the brown coloration is beautiful, almost butterscotch-y.)
