Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

imagine how long this would be if they had to doo it without the machine

That tool was worth every cent of it's hire cost!

Be careful!! We do not want you to trip...if you did that you might get a broken leg and then we would not get to see your wonderful photos for a while...well maybe some of your cast-covered toes, but I think I like your outdoor shots better. :)

I hoped you'd post an actual ditch from that monster machine: And you did. I love the results. That's a big ditch! I mean, for private property. (You're not laying a high rise into it, after all.) Yeah, so do you have to check with the city or county before you dig? I never thought about pipes and such...But it's a perfect furrow, and it makes a big bold shot. I love the deep dark crevice, with those different shaded hues of dirt around it, in parallel lines. It's a really neat photo, Marilyn. And, as Andrea says, it's well worth the cost of the machine. Thanks for posting it. (Next, you should show little people coming out from the ditch, crying, "Hey! We're SLEEPIN' in here!" Or the Loch Ness monster. Or something like that...)

LOL, it's evidence then, this shot? For when you end up with a broken ankle? Have to say those are nice straight lines, well dug!

I like the results - a nice straight line and no tripping allowed! :o)
