Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

LOL yes...flowers on the cliff's edge might be a more appropriate name. Fantastic view.

my first shot of yours, this morning, was a ditch. Now I see a big overlook, and I'm back at dramatic nature again. (Actually, the ditch was dramatic, but in a very different way.) You do lots of beautiful shots overlooking rivers and oceans, and this is another one, filled with a sense of 'drop' and of tranquility too. The shoreline goes vertical and returns us back to the bottom of the shot; and those beautiful rocks in the water are right at the top of the trees---good composition! And the branch on the left is just right, to give balance to the rocks on the other side. Gentle, beautiful shot. Man, you two are seeing more beautiful nature in a month than I'm seeing in 10 years. I'm so glad you take your camera with you!

Tremendous depth in this cool capture, Marilyn. And, I'll sign off here before I get dizzy.
