Description

Mysotis in my garden. I know folk who get their gardeners (! I don't have one of those) to rip these out, and the bluebells and anything else that isn't bought this year. I LOVE the way they fill the spring borders until I'm ready to let them seed and put out my young plants. I'm not sure I ever noticed the different coloured centres before. But then again I may have just forgotten.

in zoom, these are sensual and almost fabric-like, the surfaces are like young hair growth or a very gentle nap (as in the nap of fabric). I don't know flower varieties well enough to know that these have different-colored centers, but the centers are beautiful and delicate; and, in your capture, they are like little jewels, or like little baked pastries. (Go along with me on that, they look edible, lol.) The dark bokeh'd background is perfect for these light blue flowers (with tinges of purple. And the two purple buds behind are sweet accents. Hope people zoom, this is quite sensual in full size. Beautiful capture, Andrea. (I'm commenting on your most recent image---I did this in TWO galleries this morning, yours and Denise's, and it's a rarity, so mark it in your calendars! It may not come your way for another 200 years...I'm always days behind, which makes me feel terrible, like the guy who comes to the party at 2 a.m. and everyone's gone home. It doesn't stop me from commenting, mind you, but still, I'm always late. So this morning, I got here on time. I know, thrills, chills, Mark...but it's rare. Beautiful shot!)

Why would anyone not want these in their garden, they are gorgeous. A wonderful image made better in zoom. I believe one flower has a little visitor, possibly a ladybird.

I love these too; the roadsides all along Bridle Trails Park on both sides are thick with them this year, and it's so lovely to see. I'm trying to get some going in my garden, no luck yet. They'll probably take off when it comes time to move and my landlady will curse me forever...
