Description
This is a collage of the other half of the duo of senior citizen complex entrances, captured 4/29/15 @ 5:00 pm, about three-fourths of a mile from home.
The same landscaping was applied to this entrance as with the first one I posted, consisting of dietes bicolor plants sitting against a brick wall, the articulate Dusty Millers adjacent to those, followed by what I assume are begonias next to them, to complete the loverly ground cover.
Photo 3 shows the Dusty Millers up close with their reindeer antler-like blooms, with the Photoshop desaturated begonias(?) depicted in photo 4.
Pozegnanie.

OHH I recognize both of these and they are among my favorites, because they are so lovely and decorative, each in their own way. Very beautiful collage indeed.

Nice collage Harry....really impressive planted so closely together. They look well cared for. Pretty photos.

Yep, begonias to be sure; when I was a kid we used to pick these little flowers and chew on them for their interesting sour taste. Probably didn't do the bushes any good, though. They do go well with the Dusty Miller, and yes, very well tended. What a profuse bloom! Lovely captures, Harry, and thanks for the closeups!

I still think that "Dusty Miller" sounds like the name of a really bad cocktail. (Like Vodka with curry, or something like that...) These shots look like big buffets. You shot (and cropped) them so they look like the flowers were laid out for a massive buffet lunch. The first two shots are sensuous and layered. (Actually, number two almost looks like two funeral plots! But they could also be two delectable dishes laid out on a serving table.) And then the two closeups, which are also delectable. I do see why they call them "Dusty Millers," and in this closeup they almost look like seaweed (or a bunch of reindeer antlers). The begonias---you desaturated them? Man, they must've burnt your eyeballs out BEFORE you desaturated them---those are major reds! They look like jewels. Beautiful light, Harry. Big continuous rows of flowers aren't easy to shoot, and you got quite an array with these four shots. Beautiful.
