Description
Tomorrow, my first article for Gamer Nation blog, appears as the site marks May the Fourth Be With You (Star Wars Day) 2015. This character portrait was done to accompany the article, unofficial player character stats for use with the Star Wars Roleplaying Game. And that's not all! Later in the day the blog publishes more SW characters, created by my friend Donovan Morningfire. Like a number of his gaming stats, these also include portraits by me, although they are, by his request, headshots.

Doc Vao, like many decent (& not-so-decent) galactic citizens is on the run from Palpatine's Empire. So now she practices medicine on an Outer Rim freighter, not in a plush, expensive office.
My latest test renders showed an embarrassing issue--the good doctor looked like a top contender in an intergalactic wet T-shirt contest, probably due to transparency settings.
Needing to get this finished, I appealed to Spacer_01. Since it was on a very close deadline, he kindly tweaked a few settings and did the HDRI render on his more powerful machine. In spite of the fact that he really, really, really, ah-um, appreciated the original look. But A'lura's just not *that* kind of Twi-gal--even if she has set her headdress for the freighter's Twi-guy owner/captain.
So this is dedicated to you, Spacer_01

Thanks, was happy I could help you meet your deadline :) I did this right before leaving for work that morning too. Thankfully, my pair of top of the line Xeon cpu's got this image rendered in minute or two. All quality settings cranked to max.
