Description
Now, for the last in my miniseries we reach the bit where the anti-hero unexpectedly realises he has been duped by dark-forces. The Elder Things are a quintessential Lovecraft monster from his Cthulhu mythos. A race of alien beings who flew to Earth in its distant past, the Elder Things left a vast city nestled in The Mountains of Madness that cut across the Antarctic plains. An intelligent species of vegetable persuasions, they would be one thing I wouldn't like to meet on my way to Enlightenment

I imagine that is some what like what the fly sees in his last moments. Very creepy to behold.
