Description
As a follow up to 'Languor-or the impossibility of time suspended' I have taken the same scene and parachuted a male authority figure into the mix. Now the admonishing finger suggests that our mystery man is not pleased with the languorous goings on here-a-bouts and is telling them to pull themselves together. Not only that but he wants to know who gave them permission to spread HIS toys all over the pine flooring.
The cat doesn't take kindly to being told what to do, and it is clear he is putting his kitty vocal chords to use challenging the male authority figure.
The girl on the other hand, just seems to be drawing amusement from this new arrival and clearly has no intention of following any instructions- male authority figure or not. One senses that this can't end happily.

It makes the impression as if makes no difference to the woman and the cat, whether he raises the moral forefinger or not. They are quite clear, just anarchists. I have found out this at least as a cat's owner. And of course I am a woman, and know from what I talk... Very nice picture!
