Description

This started as a test of the new MeriMay Dress - as I suspected, the textures do not apply automatically in Carrara as they use Daz Studio's Layered Image Editor (LIE) - however it is not too difficult to edit the textures manually to get the effect you want. Not that this really shows it off with this cropping! I almost didn't post this one, but with some adjustment of levels, it seemed to have saved it from being just a mediocre render. Thanks for looking, all feedback welcomed. Have a good week. Phil

The lighting and her texture make this an outstanding image! My only thought was her lip lines look sharp,

Really nice Phil. The hands are just super. Curious about the little circular indentation on her collar bone/clavicle...

I hadn't spotted that! I went back into the scene and I tracked it down to an artefact where the transparent part of the dress is intersecting the body mesh.

Fantastic work. I love the texturing and posing of the hands. As always, you're quite an inspiration to me. Great stuff!

Intersections easy fixable with the morphbrush! Wonderful realistic render again Phil!

Excellent portrait! Her expression and hands look very realistic. Sometimes those artifacts can be fixed by adjusting the ray epsilon setting in Octane if the objects are just very very close but not actually touching.

Far from a mediocre render it looks very realistic. Natural looking skin tones!!

Very nice portrait! Excellent expression, too. (Look at her hands, by her wrists, for another interesting artifact. In Keyshot those faint lines can be caused by extreme translucency where multiple UV maps are used in a single mesh (eg. the seams where a V4's torso and arms meet). That shouldn't be the case here though... Ain't new software fun!)
