UPDATE: I entered this in the May contest "Girls & Guns" over at Fantasy Attic. It took Grand Prize.... I'm still in shock considering I can't even place in Rendo's contests....

Well, nuts! We lose more monitors that way.... G4 demonstrates why you should always keep you finger off the trigger until you're ready to fire...
I thought it was time to lighten things up a bit - and besides, T. Rex really enjoyed the last time G4 put a hole through his monitor, so I thought it best to keep the big guy happy.... Don't want him to try eating the Girls, now do we? Not that they would be an easy meal. As you can see, they're usually pretty well armed!
And I wanted to dedicate this to all my friends here as well. You've all been awesome and supportive - and I'd miss you all terribly. I've been a bit frustrated with Rendo lately - as many of you have - but I'm not going anywhere any time soon.
After a marathon night (up 'till 03:30 AM), I ran some trace routes to Renderosity and several other places. They all returned normal results other than Renderosity. The trace routes to Rendo timed out every time. The timeouts seemed to be happening at a hub in Nashville with a provider called Peak10.net. So the blame may or may not rest with Rendo - and for that I do apologize. I've posted the results of the trace route in the community forum. I'm hoping this might be helpful to Rendo's programmers - we'll just wait and see, I guess.
I also changed the email address for the ebots and notifications, and they seem to be coming through normally again.
I emailed Faemike55 also - he says he's able to see some gallery images, but is not able to comment or post at the moment. He related that Tina has been wonderful and helpful, so thanks to Tina K for that. Hopefully he'll be back with us soon. He misses us as much as we miss him, so hello from Mike!
I guess from this point, its a matter of Improvise, adapt, and overcome... I'm not going anywhere.
Until next week for a few days.... Vacation! Whee!

It's a good thing I'm wearing my sneakers... man it's getting dangerous to watch these girls... not to worry, I moved in time... I think.... ah, I think I'm leaking some red liquid over here!! This is the best thing I've had all day, even beats the hot fudge sundae Rachel bought me. Hopefully with the information you gave them Rendo will be able to get the bottleneck corrected. Sorry about your monitor. Maybe the girls will chip in and get you a new one.

LOL! Tell ya what.... I'll trade you a monitor with a few holes in it for that hot fudge sundae... Just put it on your scanner, and send it on over - I'll be waiting, spoon in hand! :-D

SMOKIN! G4 seems to be breaking the fourth wall artistically speaking. I love all the little bright flowers all over the landscape to counter point the OOPS! moment here. Very funny touch.

Good one Rod. Nashville!! That's the one. Two years ago when we were having the same trouble, that was the same place that timed out. Maybe your Stooge aliens have gotten into Nashville to explore the music scene and they messed with the hub network! I couldn't remember the term "trace route". I wonder what will happen now that you've identified this alongside your cable provider. Good luck.

Agree mate, I know its Rendo that's broken I suspect the servers are overloaded! Very over-loaded! I can log on with ease to DA, Amazon, both the U.S. site and the U.K one and any number of others but when I try Rendo it locks out! So its broke! Its not us, its them.. They have used Bondware since I joined and I suspect its bondware that's crap! Brilliant Render mare, love it, the girls are obviously peeved! lol Rob

we did had indeed the same type of probs over the last few days,maybe some of the IS vokkas went and damaged the transocean cable (lol).ute and me took a few days off and did some fine gardening as you can see in my last photos.(i am by far not as good as you with a camera even with the nikon-plus-extreme whatever rolls royce camera i would do crappy shots hehehehehe.glad to see you.yeah seems like some of our friends have wandered off,its a pain when you see that renderosity is "apparently"putting the most weight on the marketplace and not into the community and issues in general.see you soon again bro.today my sister will visit me 8with her sons pc which i hasve to set up lol)and i changed a bios battery on my workstation number two as i hyave 4 harddisks it started to recognise only 2 of them after the battery change.i took all the sata cables off and recabled the disks one by one one-boot-start shut down,two-cabled-booted-shutdown and so on i had to set the sata to compatible mode and used the enhanced sata only when it recognised all four after an hour the operation was done. i wrote this all in detail because it might help other people in case they come up with the same issues when changing a bios battery!!!

Did you not try the golden rule Take an G&T drink it down and then kick the modem as hard as you can...It may well never work after this but it dose seem an great idea
