Description
Greetings Folks,
I promised this to you a while back, taken at The National Railway Museum, York here is the fastest officially timed Steam Locomotive in the world..
All 'A4' Engines were painted in very VERY bright colours to be noticed, the makers knew they were the prestige engines and wanted them seen..
I watched 'Carry On Regardless' last night, and onto the screen came an A4.. Stunning!
The people give you an idea of the size of these engines...
And, NO barriers!
Zoom please!
I have given up with Rendo along with others, I will now post when their servers (broken) allow me to, this took 7 attempts! The gallery will stay up for now as is, and I'll be posting more on the site below.. I ask if you want to see more, log on (its free). Updates will come weekly..

Other news : After billions of years hacking around with photoshop, I finally figured out how to use the bloody thing! New photos (airborne) are brilliant!
Enjoy
Rob

Takes me back quite a few years!

Stunning mate and from a time when world records were broken in an adventurous way. I was watching "Carry On Cabby" at the weekend. I like the earlier "Carry On's" most and of course that one had the "Glam-Cab" Mk1 Cortina's.

Nigel Gresley’s A4 ,a wonderful piece of engineering. 126.4 miles per hour (203.4 km/h) maximum recorded a truly insane speed for the time and a steam engine. That’s not slow today back in the 1950’s that must have been mind blowing .

A splendid shot of this icon Rob and a shame that we will be seeing less of your pics.

Wow! Thanks for the post and the history! The paint makes it look like a plastic toy, but the speed and power! No toy there! I'm sad to see you give up on the site. I have problems keeping up with several sites daily. One or two are enough. I'll miss your photos and your histories. Keep up the good work and sincerely hope you stay around! :-(

Brits made the coolest looking steam engines. This machine goes faster than anything we use in the USA today for passenger travel. Thanks, Rob! Guess we will see you on shutterfly.

What an amazing train. Sorry to hear all the problems.

Man, that is one very cool loco engine! I love the color - really gives it a sleek look. I can see why the maker wanted it .noticed! I can't blame you, mate - I nearly gave up on Rendo myself a couple days ago... I decided to stick around for now, basically for two reasons - my friends, and it's still (despite all the issues) the most active CG/Art/Photo site I've been able to find. I've tried RDNA, DAZ, Redbubble, DA, Fantasy Attic, ect, etc..... The most comments I've managed on any of them is 3 to 4 at most.. And those are usually from folks that comment here, too! :-D You just reminded me... I do have an account on Shutterfly... If I can remember my username and password, I'll see you there - and maybe even post a few shots from my fly-toys and next week's vacation.. :-D

OMG, the largest and prettiest paper stapler I've ever seen! I like everything about it, the POV, the uniqueness, and those cool bumpers, mate. And, after years of frustration, it finally came to this: so long Renderosity, hello Shutterfly.
