Description
As I have said, we are not allowed to rehab skunks here. Enough said.
This little guy has 5 brothers and sisters. They were so hot when brought to me, I thought I would lose them. This weather is so very hard on all these babies. After giving them cool hydration fluid and letting them cool down, I believe they should be ok. This little guy started the stomping with his front feet as soon as he felt better. Of course, along with that goes the aiming of the butt. I always have to laugh at this as I find it quite hard to be intimidated by such a cute, small and I have to add, unloaded weapon. They can not spray at this age. Just a bit of odor. I absolutely love their back feet. After a few days, they love me. That is when I have to really pull away. These do not revert if they decide you belong to them.

he is just the cutest thing (hear rising pitch in voice) glad to hear they're doing okay! Very adorable picture i did not know that they were unloaded at the beginning, unlike rattlesnakes which are fully loaded but uncontrolled in delivery.

AW, what a cute little (non)stinker! Thanks for the info. I really like being educated. You don't mention his age. I sure bet you get a lot of laughs from these little ones when they "practice" being adults (just like some human children). I'd love to have one, BUT (not butt) I saw a YouTube video wherein the "owner" of a skunk told about their bad sides, like claiming objects, being obstinate in the extreme, being too intelligent for their own and their "owners" good (live-in home demolition crew), and so on. But, besides all these, they make great pets and a good defense against neighbors vicious pit bulls/other dogs/pets (pests?). A quite entertaining video, but also instructive. Now, you'll have to tell me if that video is correct, or if you'll need to correct it. Great photo! Keep up the good work! :-)
