Description

At long last, here is chapter 16 in the continuing saga. I didn't think I was ever going to get this one done! I had quite a few challenges in this one, and I hope you enjoy the end result is much as I enjoy bringing it to you. Frame four was particularly challenging, for a number of reasons. Trying to get the glow from the high-pressure sodium streetlights with their distinctive orange glow took a bit of doing. I ended up using a point light and a spotlight for each of the two streetlights. The lights in the window on the convention center were all done in Photoshop, as the windows in this particular set are not a separate materials zone. The blue convention center lettering was done using the 3-D feature of Photoshop CC, imported into poser, and I applied a light blue ambient light in the material room. I am still blown away by how well done these city block sets by Dreamland Models are. They are just fantastic - Tom does an exceptional job on these! I know it took a long time to get this done, and I'm hoping now that I will be able to speed things up a little bit. I have a lot of irons in the fire presently, and have been super busy lately. Work has been a giant pain in the rear lately, but we had a really nice break over the last week. We are able to take a little trip to Osage Beach Missouri over last weekend, and had a chance to get some photos, and get the Phantom and Inspire up in the air for some great videos. I'll be working on processing the videos and uploading them to YouTube and Vimeo soon. I've been doing an awful lot of work inside and outside on the house - things that have needed done for some time. For several months I have been working on a new series of computer tables which will replace the old rickety folding leg tables I've been using for several years. These tables have served me well for a long time, and I can't complain about the price - especially since I dug them out of a dumpster years ago! LOL I've also been doing a lot of work on my shop so I can hopefully create some fun things, and possibly make a little money - I really would like to retire someday, and the sooner the better! I do have to apologize to those of you at birthdays this month - several of my friends here did. The girls and I wish you all a happy birthday, and I apologize for missing it. I'll also try to get the T.N.A. pinup of the month done in the next few days - now that the month is almost over! Well, enough rambling! As always, thank you for dropping by, and for all your wonderful comments and support - you all really do rock! Additional credits: bar in convention center, cars parked on street, various monitors and chairs inside surveillance van are all 3ds files downloaded from Archive3d.net. Sancha for V4 by SidheRoseGraphics (Ray) over at YURDigital. Background photos of Washington DC believed to be in the public domain Sen. Slickie by RodS There are a ton of props and miscellaneous items pulled from various sets - and try as I might, my six remaining brain cells can't remember all of them. LOL so if I've missed anybody, know that I appreciate your most talented efforts!

I read your comic, the book that followed was a little too long for me, I have limited time on the net, ya know... computer that has been down the last year and a half spent the last two weeks in the shop and I don't think the guy ever worked on it - hate to say that, but I kept getting promises to have it done and the guy was always off.... Now I have two of them down... ya gotta love dropping 1,200 on a computer and then WindowsXP doesn't get support and your computer is over taken with viruses.... just thought I'd tell ya the thing that made me chuckle the most about your comic was the last frame.... seeing those four drones up on the wall - lol.... I'm gonna start calling you Winger Sanchez boy and this will be your theme song: "I can't get enough of you baby, so baby give it up, cause I can't get enough" lol ....yeppers, "Winger" is a good name for you drone boy - lol ..... ....oh, just in case you have no idea who winger is, go to youtube, search for winger and can't get enough.... cool song, one of my favorites.... Kip Winger is a musician from my neck of the woods. I saw him at a bar I use to go to back in the late 80s/90's and his band was on stage - I knew he was gonna make the big time, he did. I bought a couple of his cds.... the last I heard, his band bit the dust and he was working in a warehouse up in Golden, Co.... Shame, He's got some killer music.

You're getting ambitious! I swear, every time I see a new chapter you're adding a bit more detail, more little things in the background, it all really adds up to make your stuff more and more interesting every Time. Now if I can just find the time to go back and re-read everything so that I can finally catch up on all of the girls' doings. Nice work!

Man, thanks for the laugh! And the details about making the frames! So much work just to get the street lighting work out. Night lighting is a pain. So, you've been under the work load, too! I TRY to catch up on Rendo posts on a daily, er... evening basis, but it's often I don't make it. I don't post as much as I'd like to. Digital camera is great - no waiting for developing film, and can retake immediately if a picture turns out bad. But.... then comes adjustments and posting. Whenever I get the time. Glad to see you back, and doing more sophisticated stuff. I wonder where it will bring your art work? Keep up the good work! :-)

Hey Rod ! Stunning idea to compose your spy truck ! I had something like this in mind and you match the point and the line just before lol ! Please, same question as Dan : did you synthesize all your comic (such a pdf) to be more comfortable to readit one more time on tablet ? If it's the case, I would be interested in. See you soon my friend. You both have a so CRAZY imagination in creating comics ! ;-)

Love all the toys on the walls inside the truck! :) I always look forward to the next chapter, and have never been disappointed. Terrific installment! You did great with the orange light. I would have tried an orange layer and mask in Photoshop and called it good, but you really nailed it. Outstanding as always!

I missed this chapter! But now it is found. It seems to have been posted when my computer was gone. Anyway, great introduction to Slickie meeting Ar. As always a fantastic job on the details and the humor inserted in the dialog is always a lot of fun.
