Description
I spent my entire day Figuring out little things and thought I would post this final version of this scene with the improvements over the first.
There is still a lot of things for me to adjust but, this was the result after doing the Iray shader preset conversion of all the scene Materials. (something I watched in youTube tutorial today ) I'm not certain if it helped or not in all instances, but this image turned out pretty great... I love the Bloom Feature!
This scene contains only one distant light + the light generated from the Environment Map I used.
I think my next try will be automotive in theme :)
Thanks for looking and the comments on my recent posts.

almost looks like a photo... i can't even imagine how long it might've taken to render... really nice work.

HI, Thanks :) It took 1 hour and 45min to render with a quality setting of 2.0... probably would have been just fine with a quality setting of 1.0 and would have rendered even faster at 1800 x 2300.

Awesome image you made here!!... just love her outfit!!

Thanks :) I really like what I'm seeing with Iray. I hope to get even better with it. For DS I had to simplify the outfit materials a lot, but I think I may have enough Parrotdolphin sets for DS now to make it look better next time I render it.

This really looks great. Love the stone work and foliage. Thanks for the tips I'll be sure to try them while I am learning IRAY. Other peoples experience's can be of such great value especially when documentation is lacking (LOL). Yeah, I watched the You-Tube video and that was very helpful, too.

The 3Gate Pass by Jack Tomlane at Daz is AWESOME! really nice details and textures. With all new things there is the learning curve, lol.... but so long as there is a payoff at the end of the learning it's worth it :) On that video, there were some things in her beta version that I never had available in mine, or even in the latest public release. Like the Sun features, not sure if they were removed as a result of needing more testing time or something. but it was really an eye opener to see the process for converting all the materials in a scene to Iray materials. I need more time to completely understand when and when not to use that... like on people's skin.

Yeah, you're right about the Beta version and the public release having and not having certain features. I found some of those sun features in another place, but not all. I got so much crap running through my head right now I can't remember where (duh!) Like you, I'm just doing some bear bones rendering at the moment trying to tackle one little thing at a time and I am finding out that you DO NOT have to convert every material to IRAY to make it look good. Didn't mean to make this a chain letter but it's nice to talk to someone in the same boat as me (LOL). I think I might even post something on Monday (Aaaaahhhhh!!!!!!!!)
