Description
Captured 5/28/12, early in the morn, somewhere around the streets of the city.
These very heavy plates are used to cover any work when not in progress being performed on the streets. Obviously, this pavement has seen better days.
Totziens.

What a great angle, with the sun making that subtle sheen on the metal. Yes, that road certainly looks like it could use a major overhaul, I hope that's on the books soon! Fantastic shot, Harry!

I agree with everything Denise said, and yes, it's a terrific shot. This would loom, wall size---a huge abstract from an everyday street. You cropped it with just a sliver of tree/bush growth on the top, which is the 'frame' for the piece---because this is entirely about the road. I love the crop. And the angles criss cross dramatically, with real sweep into the distance. You even have a diagonal patch---upper left, coming off the steel and making a "Y" of sorts: a fine counterpoint. Otherwise, it's a first rate texture and pattern shot, with those steel plates coming into our view and then sauntering off---a very varied shot. With light coming from the top right. Terrific.
