While I prefer a more natural look, that is an interesting design the owners chose for their yard. Nicely found and captured, Harry.

I'm with Maria, I also like things overgrown the way nature intended, but I have to say I do appreciate a finely sculpted shrub as an art form! This is neat and clean and won't trip anyone on the sidewalk passing by, and has great lines to it too. Well captured, Harry!

Nice catch. They must spend some time keeping those trimmed so artistically like that. I know I'd spend an entire evening trimming the ones in front of my mom's house, and that was just trimming them smooth and flat.

sizes very original bushes, perhaps due to the small surface of the feet of these small hedges !!!

I assume people realize that you're not saying "this is a great thing to do to bushes," but, rather, you're offering it as a photographic subject. And you offer it with real clarity and abstract almost jazzy energy. The first shot has a nice "spotlight" feeling---like the three back bushes are big spotlights. They could also pass for a drum set! But also, the layout, with the plain house behind it and that beautiful billowing tree, make a full and really fascinating shot. (The truck adds its own bit to the piece---I really like it there. It's a "Harry" element---referring to your uncanny eye for wonderful juxtapositions.) The lower shot could be a totally different place, even though we know it isn't: It's like a big bunch of appetizers, or veggie chunks. Or kids' toys. And again, against that plain beige wall and sidewalk and driveway, it's so striking. You really got the abstract presence of this: Those big bold cut bushes, against such plain unintrusive surroundings. Beautifully seen and captured, Harry.
