Description
Greetings Folks,
RAF Cosford Airshow, the biggest RAF one of the year..
Cosford is the centre of RAF training and a large number of specialised units are based here, all threw open there hangers and doors!
As I attempted to find the time to look around, memory card rapidly filling up, I came across this.. Not in the museum not in any books..
Its perfect!
Also (pictures coming up for sure), I counted no less that 27 Jaguars on site and then I lost count.. Some still run.. Some DID run! Shots coming up!
A huge pano is on the way at least 10 are in frame and most are painted in special marking..
Oh, and you could climb in them all HEAVEN!
Then, the airfield blew up! More on that late.. lol
This by the way is a very early and very rare (and guarded) Hawker Siddeley Harrier GR3.
Next door was a desert pink Jaguar!
Enjoy
Rob

So cool! It's been a lot of years since I got that close to an armed aircraft!

This is fantastic Rob, an excellent capture and can't wait to see more.

You LUCKY fellow! Is this the one that served as model for the Airfix paint scheme on their model? The paint job here looks VERY familiar! And, was it really armed? I wonder, since they aren't in use anymore (or am I mistaken???). Such a great photo, so much detail! I'd love to see more! Keep up the good work! :-)

Very nice. They were put out of order so fast with a lot of flying hours remained unused and wasted. In the USA there are still Harrier flying...

She's still a beauty! Great shot with full ammo kit.

Armed and dangerous in this cool capture of the old Harrier, mate. Terrific POV, markings, paint job and clarity on display. I wonder if it's a veteran of the 1980's Argentine war.

Wonderful capture! interesting that they left it armed....
