Description

Night falls on the city. A solitary man wanders the darkened streets searching for its seamy underbelly. He passes an alley which might hold enough grit to interest him. He is alone in the dark. The air is thick with possibilities. Anything could happen. He is startled when he sees a shadowy figure approach holding a large black bag. As light falls on the shadow, the man sees it is a waiter from a nearby Chinese restaurant. He is taking out the garbage. As he passes the man the waiter calls out a cheery "Hey, how's it going?" The spell is broken. The man realizes he is an idiot. He moves on. A so-so image but I was feeling all Raymond Chandler-y just now.
