My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!
If I’m missing from Renderosity from time to time, I’m busy having fun elsewhere.
Thanks for your interest in my work, and for stopping by to learn more about me!

Well, lets just hope they are being straight with each other. Of course, there's always a risk of being over-bearing. But, I wouldn't doubt if their relationship had a little ice between them.

Cool map art - reminds me of some of the whimsical characters in Yellow Submarine. In case you don't revisit Mark's post & miss my comment there, Tara, I wish you a resounding success with your upcoming surgery & hope to see you posting more regularly in the future...

Brilliant! She will be thrilled, I'm sure! Happy Birthday, Brigitte! Very best wishes for your procedure, Tara.

Well, that's just 'dandy' -Tara, I am absolutely thrilled (or should that read chilled?) to be in such good company, between Siberia and Alaska !!! especially as we are experiencing our first month of Winter here - and these are the two places I think of immediately, as Winter rears it's ugly head here in OZ, brrrrrrrrr ! It was only 16 C when I got up this morning - naturally that is above '0' ... can't wait for Summer, as you can imagine ? ;P I also just returned from a shopping trip and bought home some "Hot Sopressa Salami" - to get things started on the warm front and then followed by a Tiramisu Mousse Cake and a hot cup of Coffee (or is that supposed to be other way around ?) ... Anyway ... you are all invited, to the Kaffee-klatsch! LOL, thank you very much Tara, for such a 'cool' dedication - I couldn't think of anything better or funnier ... it's so mysterious with the waterfall in the BG and wait for it ... I think it's couple of Tasmanian Tigers, spinning a yarn about the good ol' times, when they were a lot closer as friends, before global warming ;)) BB BTW - Jeff and I send you our best wishes for a successful op. tomorrow - you will feel like a new woman, when all is said and done. ;)

Marvelous BD dedication!

A most delightful and well thought out image, Tara! A lovely dedication! Judging by some of the things going on now, a good "conversation" is definitely in order - of course we've got to convince Putin to pull his head out of his ass, and realize the Cold War ended 20-some years ago. I think he's trying to bring it back...

Such a fantastic idea and story too, what did makes you to made this fabulous gift for Brigitte. I know she was over the moon with it. Such a terrific surprise, for our friend.

I love this kind of image, and you did it to the T's. And I forgot that you did this right before your surgery! That was a good omen---this is a playful and classily made image. And in addition to the play and worldliness of it---which suit Brigitte on both scores (the worldliness both from her life experience as well as all the places she's lived and been)---it also suits her art, because she makes these wonderful pastiches of whatever her intuition leads her to, and makes terrific designs out of them, both playful and always insightful and filled with innate design sense. So you got a whole bunch of things true to Brigitte. I love the background---I assume a river with waterfalls---and how you framed it, so that both frontal surfaces (the bluff and the water) are aligned with the land masses. And the hues are right for background---they don't interfere, but they also draw us back. I've been a big fan of map art, and making human moments out of abstractions for years; and this is a terrific example of that. Fine job on the faces and on the plates of land on both sides---well, fine postwork all around. Great to see 2D from you again, and as I say, it suits Brigitte's endlessly creative style, in her many montages and designs; and it's great for her as a birthday. Happy Birthday Brigitte! (my 4th birthday wish this morning which the recipient will never see, lol!) Many more! Love how you did this, Tara. I hope you'll return to this kind of thing from time to time...
