Greetings Folks, Once Upon A Time, not that long ago, the RAF had aircraft.. and here they are! Cosford again, and the doors were open, note the Pre War hangers.. Every aircraft in this shot and there are 8, are Jaguars, some work still, most are in special schemes, note 'spotty' the leopard one in front there! Both hangers were lined with them, and they were parked up everywhere! They even did fast runs with two, and they sounded great! (Photos on the way!) Kept this as big as I could, taken with the small camera in the rain (shower arrived), with a scan panorama.. Second flypast of note (better?) on the way... Enjoy Rob

Rant coming. This is just my humble opinion, but I think the 'lack of aircraft thing' comes from the fact that collectively humans think war 'can't happen to them'. They think it happens overseas.........and they think WW2 was a long time ago. I am 45 and my grandma lived with us until she died when I was 14. She was a great old gal, and was born in 1900! She would tell me about her wartime experiences like they happened yesterday, and that was when it first hit me that WW2 was 'recent history'. We think today that with our iPads, political correctness, civil rights and mobile phones we are exempt from foreign aggression. History will prove us all wrong I fear................. Great post as usual. Never forget the plight of the Eloi! Rant ended!

A wonderful pano of all these Jags, Rob! I love the paint job on 'Spotty!' So cool! Looking forward to the fly-by! I agree with Andrew. There will always be aggressors - unfortunately (unless the human species evolves a bit more) the free people will always have to stand ready to defend against the dark forces - the ISISs, the Putins, The Kim Dong Dufuses.. We must never let our guard down. Our "leaders" seem to forget quickly.

Agree with all the commentary above. I'm happy to live in a country that hasn't experienced "invasion" since 1812. Unfortunately that has also resulted in our military being little more than fodder for domestic politics. Anyway - Great capture! Always loved the Jaguar. It's one of those planes that "just looks right".
