highly photogenic places create real problems for some photographers, because it's not easy to make them feel "new" etc. (They so easily become cliched.) This is an example of how you present dramatic vistas as if for the first time. Beautiful light and shade. Beautiful mix of detail with the natural fade (ie, the background mountains---not sure if they're faded by atmosphere or by mist from the water, but either way they have a beautiful softness). Great bleached light on the left---some photographers don't like that kind of light, but I'm a fan of it when used by a master), contrasted with the detail of the rocks in our foreground. Terrific nature shot, and a reason why you're one of our best.
