My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

The most gorgeous purple flower I've ever seen and a gorgeous gift for Carin!!

I have to second 'beachzz' comment - and especially as it is in my favourite colour as well, a simply gorgeous dedication and present for Carin and any 'Gemini Gal' ... the eyes focus directly on to the centre of the flower - lovely! I wish I could do as good a job like yours with my eyes and camera ;)) and I hope and wish you well after your op. Tara. BB

well, as you saw, no one here had any troubles with the "blur" you were afraid of---it's in fact a completely different type of image. There's real clarity on the left-flower, esp in the center (the stamens, I presume). But also in the furrows on half the petals. What you have is a pastiche, a very dramatic (and to me, beautiful) mix of shapes and hues and shadow, which create an almost abstract of patterns, all made from flowers, leaves, lights and shadows. The way the shadow crosses across the front flower is marvelous. And the other bits here---definitely in bokeh---are beautiful 'other' elements of the abstract. It's all bathed in deep dark, with emerging greens and purples---and some whites---like a dramatic underwater-shot of beautiful forms and "presences". It's beautiful. And a beautiful dedi for Carin. I"m only doing 2 images per gallery today, Tara---and I STILL won't get to everyone today!---so I picked up where I left off, here; and I'll get to more of yours soon. But it's great to comment on things I've seen several times, and loved. This is beautiful. (PS---obviously, you've healed since posting this, so I won't say "good luck"! Instead, I'm extremely happy you have healed so well!!!)
