oh how i could wax on about how these scales could be equated to experiences in life, each experience adding a scale, in a motley of colours, so that by the end of things we are left with beautiful wings... or how these scales puts to mind the individuality of a fingerprint or ear shape... but i'll refrain from all of it ;) lovely thought-provoking imagery...
