Description
Captured 7/3/15 @ 8:20 am, as I peered down the pavement path in front of our local AMC 20-theater complex.
Actually, I wasn't going to the box office. This is just one way to get there from the parking lot.
Toodles.

Looks like it might have been a hot day; perhaps sitting a cool theater for the evening is a nice idea. Nice photo, it looks almost as if the sidewalk is slightly damp by the way the light is glistening upon it.

The sidewalk was a bit wet, which explains its glistening.

I love that sheen of light on the pavement, it gives the whole scene a satiny glow. Wonderful shot!

I'm still skipping around---it's so hard to catch up after an absence, as there's so much to comment on. But I fell in love with this shot when it went up and I thought it time to comment on it. I Love the glisten, yes, the slight moist glow you got from the moisture on the sidewalk. But you got it as an almost chrome-like glow, like the sidewalk's made of metal. Strong contrast to the shadows and the shapes around it. This is a fine abstract, with those circular tree holders and posts making wonderful music with the blasting sidewalk and the darker wall on the right. And the background lines---the lines crossing the street (I can't tell if that's a pedestrian bridge back there, or an entry)---are wonderfully open, compared to the heavy concrete of the foreground. Terrific angle and abstraction; and more of your high key in contrast with deep shadows. A really pleasing concoction of abstract shapes and forms. Fine seeing and shooting.
