After arming themselves with small revolvers, Archie, Reed and Skylar decide to cross over the bridge and check out the huge castle in the distance. Before they reach to other side, they are greeted with sounds of laughter and delight. Once they reach the other side, they see what is the cause. A large bear seems to be entertaining some noble ladies. They are standing around it encouraging it to continue its performance. The more they clap and laugh, the more animated the bear becomes and astounds his audiences with his precise antics. A mother fox and her two kits are enjoying the performance as well. It is a beautiful day for being out of doors and enjoying the delights of nature. One of the kits takes notice of the strangers and gives them a curious look. Reed waves at the gathering but no one notices, except the kit. They are too absorbed by the bear's performance. Reed walks down the path closer to this party, with Skylar and Archie just a little bit nervous about what to expect. The bear finishes his act and finally says, 'Well, if it isn't the strangers the spaceman told us he would send our way. I assume you know the spaceman?' he asks Reed. Reed is taken aback by a talking bear and is especially surprised by the question. 'Yes, we know the spaceman.' he says cautiously. 'Don't be alarmed.' says the bear. 'I don't bite.' he says laughingly. 'Tell your friends to come over. I will introduce you to the ladies and our friendly foxes.' The ladies seem very charmed by Reed and move close around him and begin peppering him with questions. Skylar and Archie are left to talk to the bear. 'So, how do you know the spaceman?' asks Skylar, at last. 'It is a very long and complicated story for sure.' says the bear. 'Suffice to say, the spaceman found our group this planet and was gracious enough to deliver all of us to it before our own planet was destroyed by a super nova!' 'Wow! That is incredible!' mouths Skylar. 'But I have to confess I am amazed you are able to talk to us in our language.' 'Oh that.' says the bear. 'We all have translator implants. It helps when we have other visitors from off planet. We get a lot of curiosity seekers here, but so far, no one seems interested in staying. Can't for the life of me understand why. I've traveled the surface for quite a distance in every direction and see that it has the same fertile lush plant growth you see here. We have been here now about twenty years and our colony is flourishing. We like the idea of a simpler time in our own past. Thus these costumes.'
