Description

The air is heavy with so many perfumes attracting the busy bees and other pollinating insects. I could feel drowsy sitting under the Medlar tree with Merlin were it not for the Blackbirds chip chip chipping with their constant demands for sultanas to feed their hungry broods. This morning we had an unexpected visitor in the shape of a Heron being chased by some Herring Gulls. I don't think Herons are fussy about taking a chick or two, but the Gulls were too much and off he flew, looking so much like a Pterodactyl...and now we have a downpour - and the garden smells lovely again.
