Description

The best part of being a member of Renderosity is seeing parts of the world that I have never been to. Klaus has shown us so many beautiful parts of Germany and many lovely bike and hiking paths. While up in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, I hiked two different sections of the Pemi Trail. The first day I saw Echo Lake and a water feature called the Basin. The second day was a 4 mile section of the Appalachian Trail, 4 miles out of the 2160 mile hike from Mount Katadin, in central Maine, all the way to Georgia. Fourteen US states in all. In any case, the paths that Klaus shows us in Germany are paved or at least smooth. As you can see above, not all trails are paved. No zoom! Thanks for stopping by, taking a look and for all your previous favs and comments. They are very much appreciated. Dana

Many of the paths in the woods are like this, and I love to think how many feet have passed over the centuries.

Speaking of the 'A.T', there is a movie you might like. It's called "The Dyatlov Pass Incident" AKA "Devil's Pass". http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1905040/

A difficult path for walking, but nature has all the rights! Nice capture! Un chemin difficile pour la marche, mais la nature a tous les droits! Jolie photo!

Nice shot. This looks like it could be dangerous if you don't keep your eyes fixed on the ground. When are you going to complete the other 2,156 miles of the hike, Dana?

I also love seeing parts of the world I have not been to before. Thanks for sharing this one. I have heard of this trail, but I have only ever flown over the Eastern half of the USA. I must look through my photos for some of the trails I have photos of.

Oh Dana! I love this picture. I LOVE, LOVE the Basin area!! All those beautiful streams to enjoy on your way to the Basin and then the pretty trails around the area. I am totally unfit, but these trails, even I can do, LOL. I just LOVE this part of the state!! Thanks for sharing this picture. Did you take any of the Basin itself? I am sure that people would love to see that too!!

Looks a great path to walk but it also looks like a broken ankle waiting to happen, take care.

Such trails I like, I even don't like asphalted ways in the woods. I think, to the path in the photo I'll never come, so thank you for that. A great shot. :o)

Very nice shot and perfect for Klaus. But I can just see myself with a bloody nose after tripping on that trail!
