Description

Captured 7/10/15 @ 8:33 am, at a fence on the north side of a senior citizen apartment complex not far from home. This was not a macro, so I'm surprised that I got any bokeh at all with my Panasonic point-and-shoot. Pozegnanie.

I'm still skipping---I guess this won't be a "chronological sequence" day. (I'll pick that up, next time.) Great that you got such fine bokeh on a non-macro shot (ala your description): All my bokeh is by mistake, so I appreciate fine bokeh anywhere I find it. Iour bokeh makes for a plush background, almost pillowy. The padlock assembly and the accompanying metal rods are wonderfully clear, by contrast. And you have a long padlock, looking almost like a gasoline container, or a strange car battery...Because you cropped out most of the rest of the fence, we don't know how far this goes, or what's around it: We just see the immediate assembly, and it has a rigid linear feel to it that makes this a fine abstract. Love the deep shadows too, and the dabs of dirt, debris, etc. More scintillating padlock work from you, Harry. You never fail to find the poetry in these often-ignored beasts---what Henri Cartier-Bresson called "the decisive moment" of a photograph.
