Description
I finally decided to post this very cool tour bus, captured 7/4/15 @ 8:29 am, not far from home.
Although a clean, handsome vehicle, there is something morbid about it, what with that ebon countenance. It could very well substitute as a hearse. Or maybe it was just the dark overcast morning that added to the overall ambiance. And, couldn't tell if there were any passengers on board to watch me do a complete 180 and snap this shot.
Have a nice day.

It's a beautiful and quite large tour bus, isn't it? Bet it's nicely cool and quiet inside, with plush seating and no road noise. Bet it cost a pretty penny, too! Excellent capture of this stealth tour vessel!

Excellent photo of this big tour bus. It reminds me of a bus trip from Germany to southern Spain. After 2000 kilometers we had enough of it, despite comfortable seats, air conditioning and TV on board.

Very fine shot, Harry. Last summer I had the honour sitting a 5 star bus. It was really good, when you have to sit for long time. You could even push the seat sideways into the middle while the bus was moving, so we had more space to breath :)

Very amazing big bus.

You're absolutely right, the dark colors don't do much to give it an inviting appearance. I guess if it had been sunny, with beautiful blue skies reflecting off of it, it might look better.

Yep! Thats a tour bus, I see them sometimes when I'm out rocking the night away lol Even saw one here in my home town once for a band called Hawkwind.. Neat! Rob

I love this shot. I mean, it's gray and dark, and yes it has a kind of hearse-like feeling to it: But it's a terrific capture of the dominance of a central object, and how it cuts the shot in two; and how it interacts with everything around it. Your near-white sky is perfect for this bleak piece of artistry. You cut the shot in 2 equal pieces (ie, with equal space above and below the bus)---normally symmetric divisions can make a shot boring, but here, it brings out the pure abstraction of the sight. Lots of texture on the street, too; and you got there just at the right moment, because there are no cars or people in front of the bus, and the bus is standing right at the pedestrian line and it hasn't moved. The painted lines on the bus take us into the pavement (visually), and that Plaza sign is a forlorn accent against all that white. And finally, the bus has reflections like bleak paintings...A minimalist study of a simple bus on a street, and very abstract. Terrific work, Harry.
