Standing on the bridge in my previous post and looking to the right at the water one sees these round plants. Several are about a meter in diameter and look like pie pan shaped water lilies. I couldn't find a name tag, so you who are versed in exotic botanical specimens, you're welcome to add names your comments as to what you believe them to be!

Yeah, those pads are huge and amazing! There's a botanical garden near here called Powell Gardens. they have several ponds, and lots of these delightful pads. I think I have a photo somewhere in my gallery of one. Very cool shot!

An excellent photo and amazing lily pads. I think that they are Victoria water lily pads. Something in the dark corners of my brain is telling me that they are of Asian origin!
