Description
The tourist bureau in Pullman has a map available with the title “Palouse Scenic Byway” for those visitors who are interested. It lists points of interest and the names of the small towns in the area. Driving into some of these towns is like entering another era. I felt I had been transported sixty years into the past. This is the town of Palouse, population 1,011.
As I visited these little towns I quickly realized that I had arrived on the wrong day. It seems they are only open three days a week. Most shops were closed and the streets were almost empty.

Gives a strange feeling, like a thousand eyes are watching every move you make ...8=) Wonderful shots! Oh, and thank you for enlightening me! In Germany the sign reads "Bankette nicht befahrbar" 8=)

If you had arrived on a 'shops open' day these shots would have been obliterated by cars !!

Small town America. This could be anywhere, which is part of the charm, at least for me. Great images!

You called that one for sure - the movie industry could film movies here and save a ton of money on set designs!!!!
