Description

Reed, Skylar and Archie are mixing with the 25 earth transplants and their alien hosts in a celebration banquet for the new arrivals. The food has been prepared to perfection with all the side dishes one could ever desire. Everyone is in a most festive mood. When the musicians finally begin their performance, the crowd grows silent as the first notes from their instruments drift down the hillside over them. 'I have never heard the like of this before!' exclaims Skylar. 'You haven't heard anything yet!' says one of the alien hosts. 'Wait until they really get warmed up!' And warm up they get. The music transcends human consciousness to explode delightfully into their souls, bringing an incredible feeling of joy, exhilaration and peace. The quality of the sound is unparalleled by anything ever performed on earth. The crowd is in ecstasy over the beauty of the performance. On and on they play for a most joyous time frame. Many of the people climb up the hill and gather around the musicians at first, then, overcome by the powerful suggestions of the melodies, they begin to dance, and dance like they never danced before. The entertainment goes on until the first rays of sunset begin to manifest from the receding daylight. As the sun goes down, the musicans wind down their performance. Everyone is still very entranced by their performance but begin to realize that something so beautiful cannot go on forever, though many would love it to. The music stops. The crowd explodes into a thunderous round of applause that goes on for several minutes. The performers are a bit embarrassed by their reception but are only too happy that they have brought such joy into the lives of these people. 'This is a most wonderful omen for the beginning of our mutual existence on this world!' exclaims one of the earth transplants. Everyone around her agrees. M4 and various other characters.
