Description
Greetings Folks,
Somewhere over Dover, vectored towards a large bomber sighting on Radar, a section of weary Spitfires are bounced by a far superior number of Me 109's, the section leader, possibly the only member flying that day with much experience calls break and the emergency boosts are rammed home..
The bombers got to their target that day, Ramsgate was hit hard..
Two Spitfires never came home..
And this went on much like that day after day in the hottest summer for many years..
'Never in the field of human conflict, has so much been owed by so many, to so few...'
Winston Churchill..
How this Country needs him now..
Taken of course at Legends 2015, the year that great flying and formations retuned, shot as they headed straight for the crowd then broke!

Dramatic, to say the least! These re-enactments sure must give the visitors the feel for the conflict at the time. Hard to see who is bandit at this angle and the sky behind. A challenging photo. Looking forward to more! :-) PS - thanks for comments on my previous posts.

Totally agree. We need statesmen or stateswomen with vision and courage. Not much of that in sight.

Red leader - Bandits Bandits! Break, Break? That doesn't sound like RAF fighter talk. I thought it was like "Tallyho and, Cease that chit-chat, you blokes!" Anyway, great POV, contrast and prop blur in this dramatic capture, mate. All that's missing is faux machine gun fire.

We could use a Churchill or three over here, as well... Dear God - have you seen our choices lately?? It's a f-ing freak show. I shudder...... Anyway, this is a freaking kick-azz shot, Rob! I can almost hear the roar of the engines!
