Description

Sad but true, there is a war memorial to fallen veterans in almost every town and city in the United States. Most are imposing granite and bronze affairs. The people of Palouse decided to go in a different direction to honor their home town boy who fell in battle. They planted a lovely little garden and a tree, something living, to honor their lost child. The inscription reads: This tree planted in memory of Sgt. Jacob H. Demand 1/23 IN 1/14 Cav3-2 SECT Born September 9, 1975 GPHS Class of 1995 Killed in Action in Iraq September 14, 2004 It’s not the years in your life the count… “It’s the life in your years”

Beautiful collage. What I appreciate most is "It's the life in your years." What do we fill our lives with? What value does it have for others? Keep up the good work. :-)
