When the black sucks light through the blinds like a sieve
Splattering our reflections upon the window
And the first blue crispens the air
When the sharp individuality of opinion so important by day is dimmed
And words coalesce like light into candlelight
Searching together down long corridors of thought
Until they touch on a silver strand
As pure and delicate as a spider's web
When I call out quips from
Kuzco, Madmartigan, the Dread Pirate Roberts, or Mr. Punch
I catch myself waiting for your response
And I am deepened by the silence
Empty holes on a beach
As the water fills them back in with sand

part of me is reminded of those beautiful, somewhat dreamy ads one sees for fragrance campaigns... and part of me sees this as... um, well, i love the fact she is standing near ocean's edge [at least that's how i see it], the flow of fabric in the wind echoing p'raps her emotional state, those feeling caught, tossed and then pulled out to sea, only to return on the tides to be caught once more... an intimate moment, to be sure...
