Description

The surrounding vegetation at Mono Lake. October, 2013 At about 6400 feet above sea level, autumn looks a little different than it does at lower elevations. I love the variety of these different types of shrubs gone to seed. We've had a busy few days with visitors and a music festival. Lots of fun was had by all, but it did keep me away from the computer!

The angle of the light makes me think autumn, for some reason. Looks like it was likely breezy up probably very quiet up there too, maybe? Wonderful scene and capture!

Fall does look different there. We drove across 299 along the Trinity River Sunday and there were some early signs of all----sigh---not my favorite season at all since I hate letting go of summer. Can't not love the colors, though!!
