Description
Captured back on 3/23/12 @ 7:37 am, hanging off a garage door somewhere in the neighborhood. It looks like the hasp is being pulled from its base on the door.
Totziens.

Good idea of textures. Bravo.

Yes, the lock certainly looks much more secure than the bits it's hooked to (hasp? I don't know the terminology...) Looks like the building is old and probably being held together by the many coats of paint! Great capture!

OHH ! A fun and interesting padlock. I doubt it can keep anybody out from the shed though :-) Denise said the right words LOL Thank you, Harry for thinking of me. I love padlocks :)))

wonderful capture, Harry, it's bold white and messy and a bit disheveled, and all crammed together, with that decayed white all around. I, too (ala Denise), don't know the word "hasp," but it's the right word for what it is. The poor connection makes for wonderful broken paint and general ugliness; and I love how the bolt just pokes into the wall, kaboom. ("I beg your pardon!" the wall is saying.) Big bold closeup for Helle, who I can see loved it. She too has captured decay in many forms, she can appreciate a shot like this. Always great to see your padlocks make an appearance. They're always such intense captures.
