Description
Top shot captured on 6/2/15, within the walls of my condominium complex, the bottom two pics taken several blocks from home.
Note the unusual positioning, below the trimmed greenery, of the tree trunk in photo number one.
From what I've been encountering on my morning jaunts around town, the gardeners and maintenance personnel have gone absolutely viral/wild with topiary trimming. Every bush, no matter where, or how large or insignificant, has been neatly trimmed down to the shape of a cube, rectangle, cylinder, half dome, wedge, undulating block, or even an animal-like creature. My files are already bloated with photos of this subject matter. In fact, unless it's a very unusual design, I don't take shots of them anymore.
Bye bye.

A very interesting variety of topiary, Harry. Nicely found and captured.

Excellent series of shots, Harry; I'm guessing the tree in the top one was more centrally located when first planted, and then the hedge was either planted or filled out into its "personal space".

They are kind of beautiful, but un naturel too. We have such trees here too. :-) I like the first one the most :)
