Description

A rare view these days ... While literally hundreds of bumblebees are working in our garden, you have to search to find one or two bees ... Greetz, Bodo

Superb capture! I too see more bumblebees in my yard maybe because they get out at lower temp than bees.

You are the "serious" to my "Prankster" mate. Your shots are truly wonderful to behold. I mean that! Oh ... and what a cute thorax too :()

Very nice close-up of this intent little fellow. I wonder what a bee feels/experiences. It does seem capable of thinking and making decisions. This flower or that one? Aware of danger. Feels pain. Yet, no brain - only 2 chains of ganglia. And fascinating to watch. I haven't seen many bees here in south Sweden this summer. I read an article a year ago suggesting honey bees are getting scarce due to all the pesticides used in farming. Very sad if this were true. Keep up the good work! :-)
