Description
Capture of the entrance to the Bolsa Chica Conservancy Wetlands, from atop a footbridge, back on 5/11/12, mid afternoon, in beautiful Huntington Beach, California, near beachzz's old stomping grounds. It is adjacent and separate from the Pacific Ocean, which is out of sight to the right.
Most of my visit involved walking way past that slender strip of foliage on the horizon line, shown in the top center of the photo.
Love the various highly contrasted and striated layers of sediment, or whatever else that's composed of, making up the shoreline.
A ZOOM is highly recommended.
Adieu.

Nicely composed Harry. The shoreline creates a nice diagonal through the bottom 2/3rds of your frame. Very appealing.

Beautifully captured, Harry; the green water is lovely! And those layers are fascinating!

Another beautiful shot of this lovely place with the water green of algaes :) Full view is a must, yes.

Helle, there is no algae in this section, it's much, much further down the waterway.

Hmm, finally got out for a short drive today, and as a drove along a winding road that follows along a winding creek, I couldn't help but notice how green the water was. I didn't want to stop my journey to snap a shot, perhaps next week I will. But, in any event, it reminded me of some of your photos from the various parks in your area of the country. This is another wonderful one.

Said it once and say it again, while it is a conservation area and well done for that, they really, really need quickly to stop they erosion here.. I mean look! You can see its just falling away.. Its all well and good putting aside areas but it tales money and effort to put them right and keep them as they should be kept especially as man (normally everyday man) doesn't respect anything except his cell phone and where the next $/£ is coming from.. But its a start and a great POV mate.. Lets hope? Rob

Harry, I'm almost at 2 hours now (will probably be at that exactly, when I finish my comment), so I have to stop for today. I think I did about 15 or 16 comments today, so at least I made a dent in the many pics you've posted since I was here last. This seemed a fine place to stop, because it's a subject you haven't posted in a while; and it's a place you always shoot beautifully. A very fine sweep of coast-line, here; and the sedimentary layers are beautiful and rich (a very honey-like brown in there). And the water makes such a beautiful contrast---fine work on the hues here, Harry. And the land stretches out flatly and peacefully, with a gentle sky above and some trees in the background. Very gentle, and jewel like; and intimate too, considering it has a vast feel. The sediment layers give a real accent to the lower half of the shot, while the rest stretches off to infinity...A very sweet shot, Harry. I hope to be back again sooner than the last time: It's always a pleasure to return to your work...
