Description
Greetings Folks,
I promised you a ground shot of this wonderfully restored and extremely aerobatic aircraft..
This is currently the only genuine Damiler-Benz 605A engined Messerschmitt Bf109G-6 in Europe.. There are hopefully two more due to fly soon..)
We only have this because just like the MkI Spitfire in the RAF Museum, Cosford, it was back restored to original state.
The Mk1 was a a Mk 9 originally, this was a Buchon.. As you know aside from the engine (a Merlin) and obviously Spanish instrumentation, its a 109...
Zoom is on for sure and this has used AKVIS on I hope the right setting lol (I'm sorry, Rendo wouldn't let me load as higher rate as I'd have liked).. Some quality lose..
Enjoy and its screen size..
Rob

What an excellent zoom this is and a really great shot.

Great shot, Rob. Too bad there are so few of these. I'd love to see them racing at Reno with the P-51s, P-38s and BearCats! How cool would that be (LOL)!!!!

She's a beauty, Rob and the pic quality is excellent. Thanks so much for this instant favorite!
T.Rex
Er, is that an Airfix model? Oops! I must have gotten Airfix on the brain after all those Jaguars! Beautiful photo. Again, great for paint schemes. Oh, by the way, are you censoring something with help of the wing tip? I'm thinking of that crooked emblem the originals had on their tail. Or was that just a fluke? (I'm about to hit another rant about PC!) Keep up the good work! :-)

Built like a watch by German engineering. Makes for a beautiful piece of machinery but must have increased maintenance. Super picture when zoomed.

Dribble and drool all down my vest......this is beautiful, and AKVIS'd to perfection....the Buchons were OK...until the real deal came along, and now......well there's no comparison really. Thanks for the dedi mate. Taking up T-Rex's comment....I noticed the German flag on the tail in your aerial shot....I'll assume this is based in Germany...the only country to make displaying the Swastika a criminal offence...even in historical context....about time somebody told them "we don't mind....honest"...

Achtung! There we go! Love the clarity, POV, detail and cool prop spinner on the Messerschmitt, mate.

Yes guys, it is based in Germany and they are still not 'O.K.' wit the whole Swastika thing there.. As Neil says, we are O.K. with it and if you stand at Legends surrounded by hoards of young German aircraft fans with Fw190 T shirts on, neither are they!!! At all Rob

A fantastic shot of this excellent 109, Rob! A real beauty! Yeah, old Adolph really put the spoils on that particular graphic. And of course he "borrowed " it from antiquity.. It was around long before he was born.

I agree with Dave, it's a shame there are so few of these left but lets be thankful for this one. As for the swastika issue, I thought it was allowed in Germany as long as it was for historical use. Perfection mate !
