Hi everybody,
My name is Dana Pommet and my wife’s name is Josephine. I was born in Gloucester, Massachusetts, in 1942, and except for a tour in the Navy, lived there for most of my life. I retired to Delray Beach, Florida in December 2000. We love to travel and photography goes hand and hand with that. I went digital about 5 years ago and started posting November 22, 2008. I have met so many wonderful people on RR and that makes this whole process so much more interesting than just posting photos. Thanks for all the comments and keep them coming.
Update  January 2012: After hiding and denying my mild Dyslexia, for most of my professional life, and now fighting with its advancement – I want to thank you all for putting up with my poor typing skills and spelling problems. I know that my spell checker hates me and I now depend completely on audio books rather then actually reading printed books.  Life marches on!  ÂÂ

Yosemite is one of my very most favorite places and Half Dome is one of the reasons why. I've been to Glacier Point and see it from this perspective. Great shot--and sounds like we had the same camera back in the day. My dad gave me a Pentax K1000 that got me started.

Awesome shot, Dana. The gathering storm as a background with the rock in sunlight is stunning.

Lucky you that you could make this impressing photo, Dana, with the great point just in the sun. Unbelievable what a fantastic location and views. I only have seen the Alps in real live, and this is something so different, WOW!

Was there 1967. Had no camera. Sigh. Lucky you, with that small window of opportunity. One sees clearly the rock slide from the hollow of the mountain. I wouldn't like to be near that if it starts moving again. Great shot! Keep up the good work! :-)

Wow, what an AMAZING shot!! This has got to be one of the most beautiful spots in the US. I love how the sun is shining right on Half Dome.

What a stunning image! First La Jolla and now Yosemite. I was there in June 1995. Are you following me or am I following you? I read not long ago that a huge slab had fallen off.
