Description

I was hunting Butties the other day and it is always a big deal for me, if I get an almost decent shot of a butterfly. First, We dont have many butties in our garden. Second, the only place they really want to visit, is my Butterfly Bush (Buddleja Davidii) and it is standing in a bad place for photographing. After half an hour, I got this awful shot. Pathetic... I couldnt squeeze myself into the shrubbery from the other side. Later I got a few better shots, that I will post, but Dennis had to help me out of the scrubbery afterward :-P Still, the shots are not worth phoning home for. Atleast I tried. After this, I have decided to move the Butty-bush to a strategic better place for photographing in the Autumn... or perhaps it is better to move it in the early spring? GEEE! I am not good at Crawling around in scrubs anymore. Have a beautiful day. We have a wonderful weather again today and it is a bit more cool. Perfect :) Thank you for viewing and commenting. :)

Helle, I very much enjoy this photo after reading the story behind it. What makes this one special for me is knowing the trouble you went to because of your passion for photographing butterflies.

I also enjoyed your story. I say just plant a new butterfly bush in a better location...that way you do not have to dig this one up and you will have twice as much attraction for the butties in your garden. :)

You got some interesting sun flares at least! People driving by on the street must surely laugh at me bent over or crawling around on the ground contorted into strange positions trying to get macro shots. It just goes with the territory. :) Fun story and shot.

This has that certain charm about it Helle but I would do as you say and move the bush in the Spring.

Makes for a lovely colorful abstract, Helle, so all is not lost. I often have to squeeze through shrubbery to snap a shot. And, our heat wave continues, with 39.45 Celsius again in the patio, and in the mid 35.56 Celsius downtown. Going to last all through the weekend. Consider yourself fortunate in cool Denmark.

At least you get to see the butterflies once in a while; we don't get any at all in my garden aside from an occasional common white or a swallowtail flying through way up high. Not sure when would be the time to move the shrub, gardening isn't my forte I think!

Oh Helle, I see you, as I don't want that anyone could see me, when I'm in a very unusual pose, LOL. I love you by seeing you in my mind, GREAT! Maybe you can make the Buddleja lay down into the ground so there will grow new ones out it, or cuttings, I think this should be possible.
