Description

LOL! After hunting butties with a point and shoot with a display I couldnt see in the sunshine, I got this shot of the Peacock Butterfly. WOW! Almost half decent. Just the wrong angle and light. A few more pathetic shots and you can smile again :-P I must cut this bush down. It is too tall. Have a good one :) And you dont have to comment on all 4 shots. Be happy :)

Oh it is a beuty. As long as you were not injured or stuck without someone to help you out I would say it was well worth the effort :)

You got a beauty of a butterfly... I've never seen one of these in real life. It was worth all your effort.

Very good! I prune my buddlejas twice a year, at different times to maintain a constant crop of blossoms. They are impossible to kill, you can saw it off 30 cms above the ground and I guarantee it will sprout vigorously when the mood takes it. Also keep deadheading until the leaves die off.

I have a friend who thought hers was dead, and cut it all the way back to the ground. Three months later it was over six feet tall and in full bloom! Crazy plants ... they're amazingly hearty! The angle on the butty is actually pretty interesting. Who ever sees the wing edge-on like that? It gives a sense of immediacy, of being there. Nice!

LOL, welcome to the I-can't-see-anything-on-my-LCD-monitor-on-a-sunny-day-with-my- point-and-shoot-camera club, Helle. Anyway, you achieved your goal; you captured a lovely patterned butterfly doing its thing on a pretty buddlejas.

You have gorgeous flowers on that bush, no wonder they like it. Nicely done with what you could control, Helle!

Despite difficult conditions, it is a great photo. The colors look fantastic. With butterflies, I have no luck, they always fly away before I press the shutter button.
