Description

Another attempt at choreographing a high altitude tangle inspired by Neil's Fw-190D-9 Dora "Longnose". Although the Fw-190 "Butcher Bird" in all it's variants is considered the Luftwaffe's best fighter of the war (and the highly compatible partner in arms of the Bf-109), it was once again, too late to stem the Allied tide. Coupled with the Luftwaffe's considerable losses of experienced fighter pilots and the allies' relentless decimation of Germany's industrial capacity one can only marvel and wonder at the Luftwaffe pilots' fatalistic courage in the face of the looming and obvious defeat. Fw-190D-9 "Dora": Terrific model shared generously on Sharecg by Neiwil. Thanks, Neil. P-51D Mustang: Ditto, also by Neil, same place. B-24: Low poly from somewhere. Really nice chaos, "razor". Too bad it looses a lot of it's dramatic impact by the
limiting size (thank you once again Renderosity!) Still, very cool work good buddy!

Thanks for the kind comment. Smaller size of the main pic...Just one of my least favorite attributes of the "new and improved" gallery...the size limit of the large work, and the larger size limit of the thumbnail!!!????. Also the 1000 character limit is a pain for those of us who like to include some interesting info and specs. My first take on the new changes..."Mini Daz".

Yupp! Looks like the Rendo bosses are winning the fight! (A pity it doesn't reflect in your image - thousands of He111s being bit by "the few"!). And, yes, sad to see the quality reduced. I just can't understand what they're thinking when everyone's been asking for MORE quality.
However, it looks a bit like a comic book image. Maybe a new goal for artists - the Rendo comic site!
Keep up the good work. If everyone complains, maybe someone will react!

Great picture. It shows the drama in the air for the young men fighting the air war.
