Description
Captured 8/24/15 @ 7:48 am, I don't remember where.
With its maelstrom of lines and textures, I found this image just perfect for variations. I wonder if I should do more.
Original on top, just for the record.
Arrivederci.

park benches are unique ... they always seem to be there ... so that we can sit down, when in fact they are trying to tell stories !!! changes seem very well chosen me !!!

Beautiful collection of variations over a bench, Harry. I like number three the most.

What a poignant bench, with those deformed seat boards and the leaves all around; it just shouts with emotion. Well found and beautifully captured, with marvelous variations. You're right, it does lend itself well to filterplay!

Never a dull day when there is a set of Harry's variations. They are fun to both create and to view. Keep 'em coming.

Ditto Denise, on the original---love those long leaves, and the green shoots in the back, and that strange---what?---sculpture behind the bench (on the right) (see it? kind of like a Mayan thing?), and the straw-like shoots on the bottom, and the newspaper/flier underneath, etc. All as the surrounding to this old warped bench. The two trees behind it are wonderful background too. This would've been enough for an upload, believe me, it's a wonderful textured, characterful shot. But your variations are some of your best bench variations.
The second one is a highly etched or pencil-drawn affair: In any shot as detailed as your original, this treatment is finely suited. It makes me want to draw this. The 3d one is a much simpler treatment, chock full of autumnal oranges and yellows, and with that "fractilius"-like simplicity filled with swirly surfaces and the like. And the bench and trees are filled with beautiful peach-toned, flesh-toned hues. Very sweet textures on the green leaves too.
Finally, the last one is a kind of post apocalyptic treatment---or at least, decayed treatment. Lots of dark sepias, lots of linear detail, and you kept the green, which makes a wonderful contrast. The trees have wonderful texture in this variation, too. A wonderful montage, Harry, beginning with a very rich original. And when you write "I wonder if I should do more," my answer will always be, "don't stop!!!"
