Well, Helle's from the land of the Vikings, and she's done meticulous drawings of some of their old vessels and utensils, so she should know about Viking ships. (Those drawing are in her gallery a ways back. Of course finding them on the new Renderosity might take a team of specialists!) Anyway, this is a wonderful mixed media piece, with real atmosphere and fog, and more of your vivid hues, which you use so effectively in these old pieces. Here, the hues are subdued by the fog; but they're there all the same. Bands of green, green-blue, yellow, white, deeper blue, etc. All accented with that reddish brown sail and that bright orange decoration. And a bright red signature! You always used flare with your signatures in these pieces.
Wonderful mood, and gliding feeling---you've done several calm-sea images in mixed media, and you truly capture the feel of the sea when it's at its most tranquil and mysterious. All of these have a feeling of floating in infinity...which is powerful because some of these images seem to be just before a major battle. More fine M.Media work from you, Harry. A real mood piece.
